Whoever said you have to travel abroad to experience an exotic destination clearly never visited Alaska. The state offers some of the most beautiful landscapes and wildlife north of the equator. Take a tour through the stunning wilderness and experience the near-perfect fishing that the state offers. Take a dip in one of the state's many hot springs or go crabbing in the Bering Sea. Alaska is also home to breathtaking hikes and a fascinating, diverse culture. Don't forget to pack your sunglasses and take extra lenses, because despite its northern latitude, Alaska is surprisingly bright and sunny during the summer season.
