A Spooktacular Halloween at the Wilmot Community Association and the New London Haunted Woods

Aug 27, 2015 05:42PM ● By Ryan Frisch
Among its many programs, the Wilmot Community Association’s Halloween festivities are a true favorite. The season of witches, ghosts, and ghouls kicks off on the first of October with the scarecrow contest. Co-sponsored by the Wilmot Garden Club and WCA, scarecrows of all shapes and sizes take over lawns and front porches. From scary to funny and even pretty, it’s a great project for the many creative individuals and families throughout the town. Not to be left out, the library, Wilmot Learning Place, and a couple of other organizations join in with clever scarecrows of their own. Halloween Trick or Treat is scheduled for 5:30 this year.

For more information, go to the Upcoming Events or Calendar sections of the Wilmot Community Association’s website at www.wilmotcommunityassoc.com.

Area children may also enjoy walking through the New London Haunted Woods, scheduled for Saturday, October 31, 2015. Scheduled festivities include:

  • 5:30pm-6:30pm Trick or Treat on Haunted Walk for little ones under age 12. (Not scary.) CSC Players will be in costume handing out candy and then walk through Spring Ledge to Corn Maze.
  • 7:30pm-8:30pm Haunted Woods behind Old Kearsarge Middle School for ages 12 and up.
