Perfect Your Spring Brunch: Co-op Food Stores Offer March Cooking Classes

Are you looking to update your brunch skills for celebrations this spring? Maybe you’re just looking for more ways to make a delicious, healthy breakfast. If you want some professional tips on how to enhance your cooking and baking, look no further than the cooking classes offered at the Co-op Food Store on Centerra Parkway in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Here you’ll find comprehensive yet beginner-friendly courses for all your springtime cooking needs. Read on to learn about classes coming up soon at the Culinary Learning Center.

On Tuesday, March 20, Gloria Finkelstein will be teaching a class Passover Recipes-Healthy Recipes to Share Class. This class will offer hands-on experience cooking several updated Passover recipes for your family’s seder. It will cover some of the classic dishes that many have enjoyed on this special occasion most of their lives. But they’ll be updated with a few healthy new twists to make sure you and your family enjoy seders together for years to come. The class runs 10:30am–12:30pm. Cost is $20 per person for members and $40 for non-members. Expect to fill up on some delicious dishes while cooking! You can preregister for the course here.

Are you looking forward to the sweet treats that come with the end of Lent and the Easter celebration? You might be interested in the Professional Cookie Decorating: Easter Egg Cookies Class. This is taught by professional baker and art student Marley Cooly of mc confections. Throughout the two-hour class, you’ll learn the basics of achieving the perfect consistency for a professional icing, the art of “flooding” the cookie to get a smooth, blank canvas for decorating, and how to pipe frosting with a piping bag. Expect to come away from this class ready to decorate hoards of sweet treats for Easter! You’ll even leave with a box of goodies you’ve just decorated. This class takes place on Sunday, March 25 from 12–2pm, and the cost is $25 for members and $50 for non-members. Sign up now!

Finally, the Co-op will be hosting its Simply in Season: Easter Brunch Class on Friday, March 30 in preparation for the holiday. This class runs from 11am–1pm and is taught by Lindsay Smith. You’ll learn about the tools and skills you need to prepare a sensational Easter brunch full of traditional dishes as well as a few new ones, all inspired by the spring season. Prepare to cook a savory cherry coffeecake, fluffy leek and herb spring soufflé smoked salmon potato galette, and minted mandarin strawberry coolers for dessert!
