New Food Hall Coming to Boston

Sep 19, 2018 12:25PM ● By Linda Ditch
Hey, Upper Valley foodies! Mark your calendars for spring 2019. That’s when Boston’s newest food hall is set to open. Road trip!

High Street Place will be an approximately 18,000-square-foot food hall uniting 160 Federal Street with 100 High Street. The food hall will feature a diverse blend of the city’s 22 finest culinary offerings in a beautiful environment. The space will also have a liquor license, so guests can enjoy beer, wine, and cocktails with their meals.

According to WCVB-TV, there’s no word yet on which vendors will be part of the hall, but developers say each will have a unique stall and will be local. The hall’s website (http://highstreetplace.com/) says there will be seating for 400 and lots of parking.

High Street will join the already-opened Eataly Boston, an Italian marketplace featuring a food market, restaurants, and cafés on Boylston Street. In addition, more food halls are on the way. WCVB reported Time Out Market will be opening in the Fenway neighborhood in February 2019. The Beat, which will be where Boston Globe headquarters once stood, will also feature a food hall. Construction for The Beat will begin this fall.
