From the moment a pet comes through our doors as a stray, surrender, or as part of our work in cruelty prevention, they begin receiving medical care and behavioral attention to prepare them for adoption into a loving forever-home. Our mission at the Upper Valley Humane Society (UVHS) is to compassionately connect people and pets. We make this happen every day by embracing a flexible approach to adoptions, using positive reinforcement training with the pets in our care, offering open-admission sheltering to pets in need, and by bringing humane education tools and resources to the members of our community.
Each year, we provide services to over 1,600 animals and more than 3,500 people across 100 communities between New Hampshire and Vermont. An ever growing community of supporters joins us in our efforts to continue improving the lives of both people and pets. Visit our Get Involved page and learn how you can support UVHS!
