Bookstock brings 1,000 people to the village. Our organization is all volunteers and there are no fees for any of the presentations (except the Pentangle-sponsored Chris Pierce concert on Saturday evening). Major expenses for the festival include honoraria and travel expenses for the more that 30 poets and authors, a village of tents on the Green and printing of the festival program. We have expanded the program on Friday afternoon and Sunday morning and are cosponsoring the concert on Saturday evening. We're hoping this leads to more and more people seeing Woodstock as a destination weekend.
