James and the Giant Peach

A delight for the whole family, this musical is an enchanting fable about the power of friendship.

Based on Roald Dahl’s story of an orphaned boy who escapes his miserable life and becomes a hero, this fantasy adventure features an infectious score by Tony and Academy Award-winning song writing duo Benj Pasek & Justin Paul (Dear Evan Hansen, A Christmas Story, La La Land). Renowned book writer Timothy Allen McDonald captures Roald Dahl’s whimsical style and quirky dialogue, bringing to life James’s colorful family of magically overgrown insects: a mothering ladybug, a mysterious spider, a fiddle-playing grasshopper, a cowardly earthworm, and a chronically complaining centipede. Their adventures aboard a delicious peach as large as a house takes them across the Atlantic Ocean and all the way to New York City. A delight for the whole family, this musical is an enchanting fable about the power of friendship.
