Naked Table Locavore Lunch
As part of the Naked Table Project by ShackletonThomas, the table makers along with the community, all sit down to their tables to share a meal made completely of locally grown and prepared ingredients. It’s a time to celebrate the good work, the food, the community, and the process.
Meet: Middle Covered Bridge located next to the Town Green in Woodstock
The Woodstock Farmers’ Market prepares a savory three-course meal made from locally sourced ingredients. Local volunteers help serve the dishes, while you are accompanied by bagpipes. It is truly a full-sensory experience, while you enjoy your meal under the picturesque Middle Covered Bridge in Woodstock, VT.
Each year a keynote speaker is invited to discuss about the environment, conservation, and sustainability. Notable past speakers have included: Congressman Peter Welch; Michael Creasey, Superintendent of Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller Park); Michael Snyder, Commissioner of Vermont Forests, Parks, and Recreation.
Proceeds from the lunch go to benefit Sustainable Woodstock, a local non-profit dedicated to building a more sustainable future for our local communities. Tickets can be purchased directly through Sustainable Woodstock.
