Out With The Old and In With The New: 2015 New Year’s Resolutions

It’s that time of year again as we reflect on the past year we often have a saying ”out with the old and in with the new.” As we look forward to new things in 2015 we recently polled 100s of people who shared their New Years Resolutions with us and clear themes emerged as we look forward to next year. See what people in our community want to change in 2015.

Exercise & Better Health

  • Eat healthier
  • Less Chocolate, more greens!
  • Get in shape
  • To get back in the gym of course
  • Sticking with physical therapy to improve mobility
  • Lose weight
  • Drink less 
  • No more sugar!

Personal Improvement

  • Be better than I was last year
  • Be more positive
  • Make more time for myself
  • Be more organized
  • Stop using curse words
  • Be less of a procrastinator
  • Better separation of work life and home life
  • Spread random acts of kindness daily 
  • To be more confident 

Stay “In the Moment”

  • To “put the phone down”
  • To take less projects on
  • Breath! Make an effort to jump to Positive Conclusions
  • Be more mindful and present in the moment
  • To be grateful for what I have 
  • Simplify my life 

Quit Smoking

More Time with Family & Friends

  • Spend more quality time with the kids
  • Continue to have fun with family and friends and keep everyone happy and healthy in the New Year
  • Making a better effort to have more meaningful time with people in my life
  • To spend more time with family and take one day/weekend each month to ravel & visit close & far away
  • Taking more time off work 

Help Others
  • To help military family in need once a month
  • Mentor young ladies to be strong and indecent
  • Volunteer more

  • Reduce Debt
  • Grow my business
  • Creating a budget and stick to it
  • Pay off my mortgage 
  • Finally finish remodeling the house 

And as one person shared …”to have an even better 2015”
