Sep 10, 2015 03:03PM ● By Kirsten Gehlbach
In historic downtown White River Junction, the Vermont Glory Days Festival celebrates its 23rd year with a family-oriented, fun-filled two days of celebrating railroading and transportation modes of the past, present, and future. This event offers free admission and entertainment throughout the weekend.

Murder Mystery Dinner Train

New this year is a Murder Mystery Dinner Train on board the Green Mountain Railroad on Saturday, September 12, sponsored by the Hartford Area Chamber of Commerce. Murder mysteries are popular events nationwide, and this one has the added attraction of a dinner train. The performance will be produced by RJ Crowley Productions, veterans of many murder mystery productions with performances at area inns and businesses. In this fun-filled entertainment, characters, comedy, and corpses abound.

The mystery begins on Saturday at 4:30pm at the Welcome Center in White River Junction. Elixir will provide pre-boarding hors d’oeuvres, followed by a 5:30pm departure for a three-hour train excursion on the Green Mountain Railroad and a three-course meal catered by Coventry Catering, along with a cash bar. The mystery will unfold along the tracks.

Tickets are limited and can be reserved online at www.hartfordvtchamber.com at $65 dollars per person.
