Even though it may not look or feel like spring outside there is no reason your kitchen can't get a head start. Creating spring dishes awakens the palette and gets our minds honed in on the summer months to arrive. Here are a few of our favorite spring time eats.

Spring Pizza

Cut down on prep in your kitchen and head on over to your local pizzeria like Ramunto's Brick Oven Pizza or Ziggys Pizza and ask for a ball of dough. Bring home and start creating your own masterpiece by using Ramps, Scallions, Artichokes, Leeks.

Pesto, Pea and Pasta

Using frozen spinach and peas will cut down on prep time so your are in the kitchen
less and can be with you family or guests more. This spring time favorite is light and can be eaten hot or cold. Add lemon zest and juice for more of a spring time taste.

Lemon Cheesecake Blueberry Bars

What is more spring then a light airy dessert with fruit. This easy to make recipe is perfect for entertaining or just for you on a warm spring afternoon for a pick me up.

Roasted Chicken with Spring Vegetables

This one pot wonder if perfect for any day of the week. Let the Chicken roast for 15 minutes while you chop the Potatoes, Scallions and Radish. Add veggies to the pan and let cook for another 20 minutes. Pesto dinner is ready!

Strawberry Pretzel Trifle

Layers of pretzel like crumbles in between layers of cream cheese filling and decadent sweet strawberries for an individual treat.

Carrot-Mustard Slaw

A new twist on slaw...use shredding carrots instead of cabbage for a difference in texture and sweetness. Perfect as a meal on it's own or pair with a meat or fish for a full meal.
