Welcome Newberry Market! A Beautiful Indoor Market Experience in Historic Downtown White River Junction

Sep 14, 2016 06:02PM ● By Kirsten Gehlbach
The Gates–Briggs Building, home to Briggs Opera House, is located at 5 South Main Street in White River Junction. Over the last six months, a 7,460-square-foot, street-level space has been redeveloped to include an expansion of Tuckerbox Restaurant, a new restaurant called Piecemeal Pies, and a 3,500-square-foot farmers’-market-style public market in between. This unique venue is called “Market Day in the Junction” and offers a farmers’ market every Thursday (except holidays)
.

Beginning Thursday, September 8, Market Day in the Junction will be held at Newberry Market, a brand-new beautiful space situated in a high-traffic location between Piecemeal Pies and Tuckerbox
in downtown White River Junction. There are 20 spaces available for vendors to rent each Thursday. A map showing the location of these spaces
 is available online at
http://briggsoperahouse.com/newberry-market/.

If you have produce or other goods or items to sell, or information you want to share, you can set up your table, spinner rack, or
kiosk for a half-day or full day. Space is available at 8am, with doors opening at 9am. The market closes at
7pm. Each 8-by-6-foot area has aisle space and electricity and WiFi available. Although the spaces are not set up for cooking, warmers may be used. The rate for the whole day is $50
, and half-day rentals cost $25 and can be from 9am to 2pm or 2:30 to 7pm. Space sharing is allowed, but each space must be rented by one entity.

According to David Briggs, “This concept is brand new. It will present the public with a different
marketplace offering content each week that will be exciting and
 interesting to shoppers and others.”

He says the market is a great way for individuals to get their products or other goods to market easily. Retailers can rent spaces to sell closeouts and remainders
, while organizations can use the setting to give out information or sell items
for fundraisers.

Newberry Market is available for many other uses as well, including auctions;
social events; book, rug, and bake sales; etc. at either wholesale or retail
values. Call for quotes on whole-day and multiple-day rentals. Thursday is Market Day with 20 spaces for tables, but the entire space is available to rent the rest of the week.
