Now Open: Whaleback Mountain, Upper Valley’s Ski Hill

Whaleback Mountain is a family-friendly, affordable skiing and riding hill in Enfield with reasonably priced tickets and season passes. It also offers after-school groups, lessons, and an adult race league, and it hosts area clubs. The hard-working crew continues to make improvements to trails, lighting, and snowmaking, plus other amenities.

Day tickets during the regular season:

Weekends:­ $45 for adults, $35 ages 6–18, 5 and under free

Midweek rates:­ $25 for all ages, children 5 and under free

Learning area with Magic Carpet and Tow: $15

Half-price for Enfield residents (not applicable to Steals & Deals)

Steals & Deals:­ Flat Rate of $20 (all ages) for the last two hours of the day and on Sunday mornings until 12:30pm

February Vacation Camp 2017 will be held February 20–24. Choose five consecutive half-days (9am–noon) or full days (9am–4pm). Children ages 6 to 14 years of all ability levels learn and improve their skills. During winter school vacation, children just starting out or who have been on the hill for years have opportunities to improve their skills, develop friendships, appreciate the outdoors, and, most of all, have a whole lot of fun! Early registration is encouraged, as spaces are limited. Whaleback asks for registration by January 15th. For more information, go to

 For children ages 3–5 years, Whaleback offers the Beluga Whales PreK Ski Program, a fun and playful introduction to skiing. This 5-week program focuses on skill development and encourages a lifelong passion for the outdoors and skiing in an attentive and nurturing learning environment with a 1:4 coach-to-child ratio. Tuesday and Wednesday: 2–7pm

Thursday and Friday: 1–8pm

Saturday and Sunday: 9am–4pm

Closed Mondays unless it’s a holiday or a holiday week.

Pub Hours

Tuesday and Wednesday: 4–7:30pm

Thursday and Friday: 5–8:30pm

Saturday and Sunday: noon–4:30pm
