Girls' Engineering Day
Celebrating Women in Engineering at the American Precision Museum! Girls and young women will have an opportunity to meet with women professional engineers and learn about the world of engineering and making things better. Parents, bring your daughters, nieces, granddaughters and their girlfriends to explore the world of engineering as a future career. Here’s a chance to talk one on one with professional women for career and education advice. The day will be filled with engineering and maker activities guided by museum staff and women engineers from Vermont Works for Women, Norwich University , Hypertherm North America , Thayer School of Engineering, GE, and the Society of Women Engineers - SWE. Try your hand at precision soldering on electronic circuit boards using a microscope. The Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains will also be on hand to talk about the wide variety of STEM badges Girl Scouts can earn!
